The first time you could buy all three Lord of the Rings books, as one larger book, was 1968, the year the construction of the World Trade Centers began, and 9-1-1 was made the national emergency dialing code. Those buildings looked like massive 11s in the 11th state, New York. The Two Towers, the second of the LOTR books, released on 11/11.
