En el duelo entre Leones de Quilpué (Chile) y Aguada (Uruguay), que se jugó a primera hora, el subcampeón chileno logró imponerse por 87-83 al subcampeón uruguayo y se quedó con el tercer lugar del Grupo A.

El pívot dominicano Elys Manuel Guzmán estuvo imparable por Leones con 32 puntos, ocho rebotes y cuatro asistencias, +38 de eficiencia, mientras que el uruguayo Juan Zanotta agregó 18 tantos con cuatro triples, incluyendo uno de gran importancia, restando 56 segundos en el reloj, que le permitió a su equipo estirar la ventaja a ocho puntos (83-75) en un momento en el que Aguada se acercaba con peligrosidad.
Ricardo Glenn y Dwayne Davis fueron los mejores del “aguatero” con 19 y 17 unidades, respectivamente.
