Old Photos from a Tramore Athletic Stalwart's Collection
When John O'Sullivan died unexpectedly in September 2000, the football community, indeed the wider community, in Cork lost a major contributor. For the previous fifty years or more, John was active at all levels of football, a founder member of Tramore Athletic, a member of the Cork AUL, of the Munster Football Association, and of the FAI.
Over the years, he had gathered quite a few photos, mostly of his beloved Tramore Athletic. A family member has passed them to me with permission to publish them here on the blog. I'm sure current members of Tramore will be delighted to browse through them.
In most cases, there is no information with the photos. In some cases, notes were found on the back and these too are reproduced here. A few of the pictures are professionally taken and have survived well. But some lack that kind of quality and are incapable of enlargement. Even so, I'm sure club members and the football community at large will enjoy going through them.
