Starting 11 has another free toll mini-league prize on offer this weekend. I’m here to bring you tips and hints on how to make the most of your Daily Fantasy Premier League team, and ever Gameweek.
We all love fantasy football and with a lot of us playing in FPL cash games with family, friends and work colleagues, Starting 11 are offering us the chance to win some fresh cash, every weekend!
What makes Starting 11 special is that there are no player price caps or budget restrictions, which allows you to pack a weekly team with as many premium assets as you want, rather than being forced to own less accomplished players from the bottom end of the table.
If you’d like to get involved this week by challenging myself and many other FPL bosses from the community, simply create your line-ups today by downloading the free Starting 11 app, which is available on both iOS and Android.
This Saturday has SIXTEEN teams in action, with a list of fixtures that look to have some open games. No doubt there will be many tough calls – who will make your Starting 11?
Below, I (@FPLHints) will show you guys my line-up in advance and offer a few thoughts on which premium and differential players I’m considering.
Once you’ve installed the app and are logged in, please head over to the ‘Mini-League’ tab and there you will see FPLTips’ contest for Saturday 19th October.
As mentioned, both the iOS and Android apps are free to download, and the freeroll contest is free to join and play so, there’s nothing to lose.
Harry Kane vs. Watford (H)
Many are giving Spurs players one final chance in their fantasy football teams this weekend, after their 3-0 defeat against Brighton before the international break. They need to bounce back on Saturday against Watford.
Spurs don’t have the form, but they do have the fixture – Watford are still propping up the Premier League table, winless and with only 3 points.
Kane hasn’t shown us the form we expected to see so far this season. However during that period of 8 games he has managed to score 5 goals and provide an assist – hardly a disaster?
Those 2 goals and 3 assists for England over the international break will help his confidence, he can use this fixture to kick start his season
Last season Tammy Abraham was shipped out on loan to play in the Championship for Aston Villa. Cue a new manager and a transfer ban at Chelsea - the now England international has found himself leading the line for his club – as well as being the current Premier Leagues top goal scorer.
His goal scoring record looks set to continue. He has made 15 attempts on goal during the last four weeks – the third highest behind Aguero and McGinn.
This week he faces Newcastle, a side who have conceded 62 shots during the last four Gameweeks – the 5th highest in the league. Worryingly 43 of those shots were taken from inside the box.
Tammy is looking like a must own this week and certainly a player to consider as your Gameweek captain.
You may have noticed a name you weren’t expecting earlier, John McGinn – the 2nd highest shots taken over the last 4 Gameweeks.
A remarkable stat. One which will rub salt into the wounds of those who owned him during Aston Villa’s 5-1 win over Norwich – where McGinn was unable to record any attacking returns.
He's one to keep hold of, especially considering his recent hat-trick for Scotland, even if it was only against San Marino
Brighton continue to favour their new attacking brand of football, which worked out fantastically for them vs Spurs but it does leave them open at times, which will benefit McGinn.
To get involved, simply download the free app below and create your best 11-man team - and you’ll need to pick a captain to earn you those all-important double points!
