Doggy's Doghouse 11/23/17 Happy Thanksgiving!!
No news on the 2018 commitments but here is some other recruiting news.
From Carl Adamec -
According to two sources, Auriemma has made scholarship offers to Class of 2020 guard Paige Bueckers (5-foot-11, Eden Prairie, Minnesota) and Class of 2021 guard Azzi Fudd (5-foot-11, Falls Church, Virginia). The two attended UConn's exhibition game against Division II Ashland on Nov. 5 and were teammates on USA Basketball's U-16 national team that won a gold medal and qualified Team USA for the 2018 U-17 World Cup at the 2017 FIBA Americas Championship in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in June.

I'll have a full UConn/UCLA post game report soon. But Thanksgiving calls and we are having 18 people over for the holiday. I have NO idea when I'll be able to write the report.
I'll just say it was a great game and those that complained about the last 7 minutes should stop following UConn basketball.
Can't wait to have Samuelson and Camary both in the lineup with the 6 player rotation.

UConn routed UCLA for their 4th victory of the year, over their 4th top 20 opponent. The Huskies (4-0) were led by 4 players in double figures and three starters who played all 40 minutes in the contest. Napheesa, who was the leading scorer for UConn, went 4-4 from the free throw line and passed out 4 assists. Crystal Danger field also went 4-4 from the charity stripe and had 4 assists. Overall, the Huskies had 4 players lead the team with 4 assists each.
Megan Walker, the only UConn player to come off Geno's bench, made three of 4 baskets from outside the arc to help the Huskies defeat UCLA. The Bruins now stand at 0-4 against Geno's teams. Gabby fought off foul trouble after getting her 4th, and finished with 8 (2x4) points and 8 (2x4) defensive rebounds.
Z avoided her 4th personal foul, grabbed 4 defensive rebounds and dished out 4 assists. Kia played all 40 minutes, but went 0-4 from beyond the arc, missed 4 free throws and gave up 4 turnovers. She made up for those mistakes with 4 rebounds and 4 assists.
The Huskies, who scored 40 points in the first half, have 4 days off until their next game in Oregon against Michigan State.
Go Huskies..!!
